We have 2 Jack Russell's, one male and one female, that has lived here for about 7 years. They are well mannered and relatively calm. Last Christmas, my daughter brought home a male Pitt Bull puppy that she was given. You could not have convinced me before that it would happen, however, he is now part of the family and we adore him as well. He is extremely smart and well trained. He, like the Jacks, is also an indoor dog.
The only problem that we have is that the Pitt Bull is bully, and he has attacked the male Jack twice. He's been punished and knows that is big NO NO. He struts around with his tail curved up over his back, like he's the king of the mountain. Now, that's the Pitt Bull, but the Jack does his fair share too. Every time he gets around him, he starts growling and it seems, he tries to get him started.
Any advice or words of wisdom to keep peace in our household would be welcome. How do I stop the new dog from being a bully?
