I have a 88 1/2 ton silverado with 350. Never had problems before but now when driving it stalls and has trouble accelerating, if i am towing it stalls and it sounds like the engine is choking and exhaust sounds funny almost like farting. Haven't had this problem before until now it was able to tow just fine before. It has 130,000 miles on it. replace the fuel filter and see if it changes. ifno check the out put from the pump, replace if necessary.
try air filters and check the exhaust. if its got a carb check the choke plate. or try funning a fuel or card cleaner through the fuel system

replace all filters (sounds like air, but do all at the same time), change oil in engine and trans, check diff oil. check to see if cat converter or mufflers are clogged, check to see if exhaust is squashed flat or blocked with crap
Definitely sounds like a fuel problem. you want to start by replacing the fuel filter. If it has been a while it is a necessary maintence task and will cause what you are describing.88 silverado 350 engine losing power when towing, stalls during accelleration?

You probably need a new fuel filter and plugs.
