I have a 2002 chevy silverado 1500 4x4 and i might be towing an enclosed trailer across state. The trailer is an enclosed box trailer that will be around 2200 lbs full. Expect about 12 to 14 MPG, all depends on how fast you are driving and what kind of roads. I get about 14 MPG average with a flat bed running 70 MPH on the interstate, needless I wasn't driving for gas mileage.

eric stated what size engine... showes how much he knows. The 1500 only has a 5.3L engine unless someone changed the engine.

'02 Siverado.. w/trailer approx. 8-9mpg 12max.
Depends on what engine, rear gears, how many mountains you will be pulling... 9-14mpg I would say...
