I bought this boat and plan on towing it with a 2005 Ford Ranger truck. Just wanted some input on if it is safe.I have a 20 foot long deck boat, should I have any problems towing it with a Ford Ranger pickup?
I tried towing a 18 ft. boat with a 4 cylinder ford ranger.Every time I tried to shift out of third gear it would bog down. When I read the owers manual, it said towing was not recommended.
you won't have any problem that was one of the best truck of that yearI have a 20 foot long deck boat, should I have any problems towing it with a Ford Ranger pickup?
What is the tounge weight ? What is the trailer weight ? Reply and i will check for you.
thats sketchy, i wouldn't do it. the brakes wont hold and you'll probably destroy the tranny after a few trips.I have a 20 foot long deck boat, should I have any problems towing it with a Ford Ranger pickup?
i am not sure if a ranger can pull a boat of that size.
the trick here is this, how much does te boat weigh? the towing limits for this truck are about 5,000 lbs. and does the truck have a manual trans cause the towing limits are lower than that rating.
how much does it weigh? is your ranger a 4 or 6 cylinder? your owners manual should tell you how much weight you can pull.
LOL..........
If you arent stopping to fix it every few minutes?
Fix Or Repair Daily
j/k ! It should work, its heavy duty
i doubt that truck pull the boat out of water gravity is against the little truck need to defitly stick with ford but get a bigger truck or drop a v8 in it
Will probably overwork motor , trans , brakes. Forget about pulling it up a launch ramp . I've seen too many guys with full size 2wd try to pull an 18' out of the water . Only way to go is 4wheel . Unless you want to be the main clown on the boat ramp circus .
