Is it illegal for a towing company to tow your truck in the middle of the night?

I went to bed at 11pm with my truck parked outside my apartment and woke up at 5am to close the window and saw that my truck was gone! I called the cops to report it stolen and they told me that a private towing company towed it. I was wondering if it is illegal for them to tow my truck In the middle of the night?Is it illegal for a towing company to tow your truck in the middle of the night?
Well did you call them to tow it? Did they just do it for fun?

where i live in and also commute for work in minnesota there is a parking ban between 2 AM and 6 AM..so i suppose if i was towed at 9 PM ( the middle of the night) it would be illegal....since I was parked legally....right?....that what you asking?...Is it illegal for a towing company to tow your truck in the middle of the night?
Not if they had a legal right to tow. Was it repossessed? Then good for them. Was it illegally parked? Good for them.



If it wasn't legal for them to tow at all, then they can't tow at night.

If you have a legal parking permit, you may not have to pay the tow bill. II'd call the landlord.
Did they tow it because you haven't made your payments? Yes, that is legal. The can repossess when ever they want.

Assuming this was a lawful re-possession, there's nothing wrong with doing it in the middle of the night.
It is not illegal to do this, but they should have put a notification through your letterbox.

no its not. if u hadnt made a payment or very late on ur payments then they can come and tow it. when u get a chance watch repoman on one of the tv channels
