My dog keeps burying bully sticks?

this sounds kind of retarded but it's just a little issue.

my newly adopted legit stray dog [we picked her up from the streets] loves bully sticks. the problem here is that she chews wonderfully away at it when there's someone she knows nearby. but once she's alone, she buries it. i'm aware that she did it before as a survival skill although honestly i'm not sure if she ever finds her buried food. it's really annoying because the point of giving dogs a bully stick is for them to have something to do when they're alone. she's an outside dog, btw.

i've thought about tying it down with a string or something but it doesn't seem feasible. any ideas, tips?My dog keeps burying bully sticks?
Did you give it to her to take it away again.? So she buries it for "later' she is not harming anything by doing it is she? Let her alone on this issue, she is not harming anything! Withhold giving one to her for a day, and see if she" resurrects "one of her stashes! My dog keeps burying bully sticks?
Considering you saved her from a street life (and thanks for that), burying anything is to save it for her. It's instinctive to a stray. I don't understand why it bothers you. If you put a string on it she might swallow the string and you would have a real problem.

Why not just let her bury them? If she wants them she knows where they are and if it gives her some security, just let her do it.My dog keeps burying bully sticks?
It is a carryover from wolves. Wolves bury bones for times when there is no food.
