I was reading the package when I opened it. It said use as treat, and keep supervised. It can cause gas and such. I was wondering though...how long can she chew on it for. 5-10 minutes isn't good enough in her eyes lol. I was wondering what is the proper amount of time that I can allow her to chew it (without getting her too gassy and all)...How long can a dog/puppy chew a Bully Stick for?
My dog LOVES his bully sticks. I usually leave one out as a chew at all times (my dog was never keen on chewing plastic nylabones and I am not giving him rawhide). I use braided bully sticks and it usually lasts about a week to week and a half (my dog is small).
My dog has never been gassy or had any other problems from the bully sticks. They are probably one of the healthiest edible chew products you can buy.
If you are okay with the price of the sticks and the speed your dog goes through them I see no reason to limit chew time.
I was told that my 13-week-old puppy can have it when I am gone. It is big (about 10 inches) and is hard to break of pieces. When I am with him, he chews it for 20-30 minutes and seems fine. I think it's OK as long as it's not having any side effects on her.How long can a dog/puppy chew a Bully Stick for?
There's really no reason she shouldn't be able to chew it till it's gone.
The reason she might get gassy is if she's not used to getting that kind of things. If she eats a good food, with lots of meat in it, she should have no problem.
I agree as long as she is supervised lt her have it. I am sure it makes her teeth feel better while teething. I think the puppy will be fine with it..How long can a dog/puppy chew a Bully Stick for?
Just supervise when she chews. If the chew toy gets too small take it away.
half an hour
