you just need to reintsall the driver for your sound card which can be found on the manafactures website or through "google"
download xp service pack 2 (free) it lets you download drivers from the internet. Then go to start%26gt;control panel%26gt;system. Then click the hardware tab, then click device manager. For all the devices that have no drivers, right-click them and click update driver.
