I uninstalled Windows XP Pro from my comp, now I have loaded Windows 2000 Pro, but having problem, HELP !!!!!!

All right, please read the details carefully, Here is the configuration of my computer system:

Hard Drive = 40 GB

with Pentium 3

SDR RAM is 64 MB, (it was 128 before, but one of those chip is now dead)

I have four partitions in my Hard drive, they are C, D, E, F. Drive A is for the Floppy disk and Drive G is for the CD-ROM.

I had two Operating Systems, Windows 98 SE and Windows XP Pro. (SE means Second Edition)

Windows 98 SE is loaded in the Drive C and Windows XP Pro is loaded in the Drive E.

When one of those RAM chip malfunctioned, Windows XP became very very slow, so I uninstalled it and installed Windows 2000 Professional instead.

The Windows 98 SE is running smoothly with 64 MB Ram, so is Windows 2000 Pro.

Now the problems start, and believe me they are driving me bananas, When ever I click the MS-DOS on the Program list, it appears on the screen and then closes automatically, without any commands. Then after some time, the system shuts down.

PLEASE, SOMEBODY

HELP !!!!!!!!!!!I uninstalled Windows XP Pro from my comp, now I have loaded Windows 2000 Pro, but having problem, HELP !!!!!!

Working with a slow computer can be time consuming as programs/ applications take a long time to start. This problem is more pronounced in computers which have been used for 6 or more months. More information at http://fixit.in/slowcomputer.html
