give reasons for your answer to pleaseIm building a high end gaming comp and i need to know which OS to get - xp home or xp pro??
Xp home and xp pro are really no difference when it comes to gaming. I mean maybe vista to xp yes. but it doesnt really matter, unless u want the programs that xp pro comes with. I recommend xp media center. the most important thing is that u have a high capacity processor such as intel core duo or amd x2, and graphics card, I recommend from experience the GeForce 8800gtx 968mb series.. Have a decent power supply of 400watt , and very compatible motherboard that has lots of pci express slots. and of course at least 1024 ram. good luck my friend. and this is it to answer ur question.Im building a high end gaming comp and i need to know which OS to get - xp home or xp pro??
Unless your planning on doing some major networking just get home. Its cheaper and just as efficient. As far as media center goes I mean unless you have the hardware for like a tv tuner and stuff like that its a waste of money. There are 64 bit versions of windows XP now as long you have a 64 bit processor, judging by the fact that you say you have a high end gaming pc you more then likely do, get that OS that actually supports it.Im building a high end gaming comp and i need to know which OS to get - xp home or xp pro??
Either of the two of them, just make sure you get Service Pack 2 and updates so games will run smoothly without corruption. And keep high specifications like 512 MB VCARD, 1 GB RAM, 3-4GHZ CPU 80-120GB Hard Drive.
