MSE and Avast antivirus both running in real time protection is it okay with my comp ?

I'm running in windows xp pro .. is it okay with my comp if both of them will run in real time at the same time in one comp. ?MSE and Avast antivirus both running in real time protection is it okay with my comp ?
Let's say this first:

Never run two antivirus together as they are apt to conflict with each other and cause slowdowns and potential crashes.

Now that that's been said...

I ran Avast free v5 together with MSE v1 on my Win 7 Pro system and they worked perfectly well together...

HOWEVER I don't recommend doing that now as MSE 2 is much improved and I'd be VERY surprised if they didn't conflict. (I don't even want to try it myself.)

But from the start and still now, I use and recommend Avast.
It's actually NEVER a good idea to run 2 or more anti-virus programs at the same time. They will find conflicts with each other (basically fight over who will take control over curtain areas), then create an unprotected area for malware (viruses) to get in.

So, it's best to run one program that has everything to protect your computer.MSE and Avast antivirus both running in real time protection is it okay with my comp ?
Wow! I'm surprised they're not interfering with each other! As you may get "Double the Protection", it doesn't seem good to have two going, as it may cause your computer to lag sometimes and makes the CPU works twice as harder, which makes the Fan run even louder and faster.
Both will conflict and cause problems eventually....keep one of them only.....you are actually getting a lower protection rate by having two on there right now....MSE and Avast antivirus both running in real time protection is it okay with my comp ?
You are not more protected, at best you just have a slower computer. Uninstall one of them.
No. It will slow down your PC somewhat.

I would recommend disabling one of them.
