Would would you think if you went to a reception at this place?

If you went to a wedding at a Rose Garden..and then the reception was at Ruby Tuesdays...what would you think? You could order off the menu whatever you wanted.

Plates at Ruby Tuesdays are on average around $15.00.Would would you think if you went to a reception at this place?
Personally I wouldn't mind at all, the bride and groom are happy and I can order the food I like.Would would you think if you went to a reception at this place?
Actually, I would not have one single negative thought, what so ever. I would view this wedding and dinner as a sensible choice for the bride and groom. Besides, weddings are not all about party favors, chocolate fountains and what soap you put in the bathrooms. A gathering to witness two people promise their hearts to each other followed by a meal is really all a ceremony and dinner is in the first place, so the location or the food is secondary.

I have gone out to fancy restaurants and had lousy food and or service and I have eaten at Ruby Tuesdays often enough and loved it every single time.

I commend anyone who eliminates the expense and drama that goes along with many traditional wedding receptions.
I like the Rose garden idea.

I'm not a fan of any chain restaurants for a wedding. It sounds so commercial, mass produced and common.

I suggest a restaurant that is not a CHAIN. Are there any Italian restaurants in your area? That sounds more refined, intimate and special. Small restaurants can make a menu just for you and they often have function rooms. You can select from choices from their banquet menu (usually less expensive) and make a selection of 3 entrees and then your guests can select from that. Normally restaurants print a special menu specifically for your guests.

ETA: What do I think about Ruby Tuesdays? It's crowded, is loud and is full of drunks. Not my cup of tea nor my ambiance of choice, but I would go and make the best out of it.

Good luckWould would you think if you went to a reception at this place?
Well I like Ruby Tuesdays so I wouldn't mind eating there... but what about the celebration part of the reception? Receptions generally last several hours and involve lots of dancing and socializing... I'm not sure the staff at Ruby Tuesdays will be on board with that idea, and your guests will be looking forward to having time to spend with you and celebrate your special day. After all, you invited them to celebrate with you - how much of a celebration can you have in the time it takes to sit down and eat a meal?
I absolutely LOVE the ceremony at the rose garden...sounds pretty. But NOT a Ruby Tuesday's reception! Do anything but that! It's not special at all. Do you want to walk into a Ruby Tuesdays in your wedding dress? If you want to take your guests to a restaurant....that is fine. But pick something a little nicer that has a private room and is not a chain type of restaurant.

If it's a cost saving issue, have something small at someone's home. OR....does the rose garden allow for a small reception?

NO, I think you will regret it if you do that.

EDIT: OK, what would I think? I would think "this is strange." Hey...I live in a small town and am all about saving money and I have gone to receptions in all sorts of places (fire halls, church basements, etc.), but I would just think it's strange. Ruby Tuesdays is loud, obnoxious people dressed very casually with the f word continuously flying. Not a place at all for a reception. I have gone to plenty of Ruby Tuesdays and, yes, the food is ok, but it's not a wedding reception place.Would would you think if you went to a reception at this place?
I would think it is unusual but also a great cost-saving measure on the part of the couple getting married. They invited me %26amp; they're feeding me -- they aren't breaching etiquette -- and to be honest, the food at Ruby Tuesdays is better than some wedding food that I've tasted %26amp; wouldn't put another bite in my mouth!
The wedding location sounds lovely. But in my opinion, I've never had a good experience at a Ruby Tuesday's. Once my friend found a twistie tie in his burger from there, so I haven't gone back since. It's not really classy in any way. Might as well order KFC catering and throw a party at someone's house then.
I would enjoy it. But I would be wondering why Ruby Tuesday was chosen. Is the bride and grooms favorite restaurant? Or some other restaurants could not accommodate? I wouldnt ask, but I might wonder.

I can get into any atmosphere and have fun.

Ive never been to Ruby Tuesday but if anything like TGIFriday, the drinks can be $10 or more. Just something to keep in mind.
One of the nurses in my hubby's office had her reception at Applebees about a year ago, and we had a blast! And we didn't even get full choice of menu - I think there were like 3 items to choose from. So I think it's cool, since these are similar type places.
I'm obsessed with Ruby Tuesday's Turkey Minis so I'd think it's great. Seriously, they're delicious. Also, their White Chicken Chili. Really good.

It sounds relaxed and low key like a big family dinner. And I love me a big family dinner.
I would go to the ceremony and not attend the reception. Sorry, but I wouldn't be able to order anything, and they don't cater to food allergies.
i would thank that was strange sounds like the wedding in the rose garden sounds nice but ruby tuesday sounds a little bit weird
Maybe they met at Tuesdays or something
