My dog suddenly doesn't like bully sticks?

my newly adopted stray dog [right from the streets] is surprisingly picky for a stray. she absolutely loved her bully sticks though. i haven't given her many yet, since she's quite new to our household. but once when i gave it to her when she was in heat [lost of appetite] she had no interest in it. it took a while to get her to start chewing on it. and then she dropped it a few times. now, however, she takes absolutely no interest in them. i've been offering it to her for the past few days and she takes one sniff at it and turns away.



why is this? is it because when i first opened it and gave it to her, she had no appetite, and the stick began to lose 'stinkiness' that dogs like, so every time i give it to her, it smells less so she doesn't want it? bully sticks are expensive over here, and i don't want to waste it [of course i could give it to a friends dog but i really like giving dogs bully sticks. idk. it's jst a fetish i have and it makes me satisfied watching them chew on it.]

Maybe it seemed like a big treat for her but now that she's getting them so often, it's not? Kind of like your favorite food, if you ate it every day would it be a big treat? Maybe put it away for awhile and give her something else, then bring it back out in a week or two. My dog goes through phases like that. sometimes she'll chew a toy to smitherenes so I'll bring home another of the exact same, and that time she'll sniff it and walk away. I just put it away and bring it out in a week or two and often it'll be like a new toy again.My dog suddenly doesn't like bully sticks?
She probably needs dentistry, and chewing hurts. If she cracked a tooth, you will probably not be able to see it.
