Have a bottle of water handy. A spray bottle would be perfect. Whenever your pitbull bullies the other dog, spray him with water. If he doesn't mind the water, kind of smack his side. ( not hard enough to hurt him, just enough so he would know it's hurting the female ) If you do this everytime he does that, he will realize that its bad and will stop doing it.
When he doesn't hurt/bully the other dog, give him treat. He will realize he is being good and will stop.
if you don't get him fixed then you can't solve the problem...My dog is a bully help?
Set a good example
People learn from that, I am sure animals are the same
lol
Well, He needs discipline. He sounds like the extremely jealous type, lol. Make sure he knows its baad to be naughty to the other puupy lol. =D Good Luck!My dog is a bully help?
~ If you don't want to fix your dog then don't whine about it. This is what unaltered males do. Besides, why do you want your dog to have puppies that are only going to be euthanized in a shelter later. This is how males behave, you obviously have no control over your dog and no common sense.
I have a pit bull who's the same way. He's a bully to all dogs. Not just my other dog. I've learned that in a house of more than one dog, there is what's called the "alpha" dog. The one who thinks he's boss. If you want, check out my questions, I asked this SAME question about my dog. There are some good answers there. None of them worked for me, but my dog is a lot older...almost 8. He's not neutered either, but being so old, I'm not worrying about it at his point. Good luck though. It's tough!
If you refer to it as "making puppies" I really think you should find homes for your dogs...
especially because of the last board you obviously don't know what your doinjg...
get a trainer...get help for your dogs....
Have you ever thought aggression could be a 'learned' behavior. One that you would not want passed down to your pups?
Maybe you should think of watching your dogs and telling them no.
You have to be in control. If you are not in control than your dogs won't listen.
So get a trainer...
well first of all making puppies you cant breeed pitbulls anymore
your dog doesnt need to "make puppies" there are plenty of puppies already that dont have homes why would you do that to more dogs..get him fixed then give him to someone that knows about the breed and knows how to train them.damn im starting to understand y people have such a big thing towards pitbull over half the people that own them are losers that dont know the first thing about the breed and have to jump on yahoo answers for a simple question
Gene: wow i know i wont be going to kingline kennels in south carolina to get a pitbull..ive read a couple of your answers and theres no way you should be breeding these dogs ..so thanks for adding to the problem
Obedience classes...or put him in a separate room for an hour or 2 so your other dog can have some attention and peace. It's not fair to her that this dog is getting away with her treats and getting all of the attention. She's old and won't fight back because she can't. Get control of this dog before you regret it...he could seriously hurt your female dog
You need to teach him that this is not right and you will not accept him doing this. Tap him lightly on the bottom and tell him no, if he continues then you need to put him in a time out area.
Have him neutered and take him to an obedience class. This can help both of you. You're not being a strong leader for him and aren't giving him rules, boundaries and limitations. He probably needs more exercise as well.
You don't need to have your dog to have pups, you obviously don't know about dog behavior or responsibility.
keep a breaking stick handy bcause as long as u have pits thats what they r going 2 do /sorry
DON'T BREED YOUR DOG.
If you insist on keeping your dog intact, bullying is something you're going to have to put up with. At 1 year old he's still really a puppy, so this problem will only get worse if you don't neuter him.
You have heard how to stop the problem, why aren't you willing to try?
The only behavior changes that are observed after neutering relate to behaviors influenced by male hormones. The behaviors that change are far less desirable. The interest in roaming is eliminated in 90% of neutered dogs. Aggressive behavior against other male dogs is eliminated in 60% of neutered dogs. Urine marking is eliminated in 50% of neutered male dogs. Inappropriate mounting is eliminated in 70% of neutered dogs. Just ASK YOUR VET!!!
You wouldn't want your balls chopped off? People get confused about dogs' sexual attitudes toward humans. Pets don't have any concept of sexual identity or ego. Neutering will not change a pet's basic personality. He doesn't suffer any kind of emotional reaction or identity crisis when neutered. Their sexual urges are biologically driven- it's not for pleasure.
Female dogs are often forcibly mated, which is surely not natural sexuality.
There's always the chance that he could escape and find a female in heat-- An unneutered male can detect a female in heat even miles away; In 6 years time, just 2 intact dogs can produce 67,000 dogs. (Animal precinct)
Pit bull farms are puppy mills -- and illegal!!!
Selling the puppies is the WRONG reason to breed- responsible breeders spend thousand of dollars on their dogs before even breeding.
BEFORE BREEDING-- Parents of your puppies should have OFA and CERF certificates, and temperament testing to prove behavioral stability in the line. There are some health problems that are associated with this breed, and some of these include eye problems, ligament problems, thyroid disorders, cancer, temperament problems, and cataracts. If you don't get these tested, you should NOT breed.
ADD-- LINK DOES NOT WORK.
I know dogs because I got bitten before and have six dogs so here is my answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
just try to teach him a trick while the other dog eats,at the same time by giving the bully dog treatswhen he does the trick right.
or if that doesn't work try this.
be kind to your dog the bully dog and say reall mean like, no when he does somthing bad.Or say good dog when he does good things.
