What does a "bully breed" mean in a shelter dog's description?

It means it could be any number of dogs classified as bully breeds, typically APBT, AmStaff, Staffie and any number of other breeds or a mixed breed that looks similar to one of these breedsWhat does a "bully breed" mean in a shelter dog's description?

most are just mixes and mixes and mixes and do not have purebred parentage
It may be a mix of any type of bull- breed. For example, pit bull, bulldog, american bulldog, etc.



These dogs have similar features and are usually hard to distinguish when the dog is a mix.

Bully Breed normally mean its got some sort of BULLdog in it, it could be american, a pit bull, staffie many differnt things. All good dogs though.What does a "bully breed" mean in a shelter dog's description?
Any of the breeds or mixes containing "Bull" in their name, although some do not.

i worked at a shelter for years it is the shelters nice way of saying the dog more than likely has pit bull,Am Staff,Am Bulldog or is a full blooded one of those unfortunately most people wont adopt a "bully breed" even if it is the best dog in the world due to the hype so they have to lie a bit to adopt the dog out my shelter used to say lab or hound mix just to find the poor pit bulls a home

American Pit Bull Terrier etc.
Tend to bully other dogs, so best if it is the only pet.
