I would have gone for weight pull vids but unsurprisingly there are none to be found. Anyways for those who actually show their dogs what's your take?
1. How does this show compare to fun shows you have been to?
2. how does this show compare to a regular competition you been to?
3. What's your take on what the judge looks for?
4. Do you think for as long as these shows have been going they should have a standard rule on leads/collars?
For those who do weight pull have any of you actually seen an Americna Bullys come out and pull? Place?American Bully Dog shows?
One word - EWWWWW!American Bully Dog shows?
Ahhhh so that's why those type of breeds have a reputation.
My take on the judge... if you were in Australia you wouldn't dare wear a 'hoodie' in the ring to judge dogs.
You would actually sound like you know what you were talking about when referring to conformation.
And if you were an exhibitor you wouldn't be caught dead in the ring with 3 inch spikes on your dogs collar.
Honestly, I couldn't watch the whole thing, that gansta presenter was giving me a headache.
ADD - The only good thing I took from it was that they were writing down (I'm assuming) scores.
If you are at a show with huge entries it can be easy to forget to faults and attributes of a certain dog when it goes back in the ring for group specials.
They might have had more structure to the show than it showed but I just still can't get over that judge lolAmerican Bully Dog shows?
I honestly think this new "breed" and its shows are kind of a joke. I like the idea that they are at least trying to make an effort to have a standard for the "breed" and actually go to the shows, but there are just to many things that don't make it legit. This "breed" was bred for the purpose of looks and to be a family companion (not a good enough reason to make a "new breed"). They are showing the dogs and have the standards written up just for the sake of a look vs. where other breeds function follows a form that the standard was written to. The shows are to lose and do not compare to a real show with actual breeds that breed to a standard.
